Some owners of a Brighton 20 head or combo would be happy with a little more signal headroom. With increased headroom the amplifier will produce more volume before the power amplifier is overdriven.
From today we offer an upgrade for the Brighton 20 (combo or head) giving the amp more headroom. The modification includes replacement of the output transformer and power tubes to 6L6GC and modification of the rectifier. The overall sound of the amplifier stays unaffected, but with increased maximum power from 20W to about 30W.
