General description

The Meyer Brighton 14 Combo is the next step in the evolution of the Brighton series.

With a classical setup using EL84 tubes in the power amplifier and the old boy EZ81 rectifier tube it is voiced completely different compared to the Brighton 20W with 6V6 power tubes and Brighton 45W with 6L6GC power tubes. The pre-amp section has been changed to meet the requirements of an amplifier with reduced power output but still holds on to the characteristic Brighton voice.

The first channel focuses on the mid tones in the guitar sound while the second channel has a more balanced tone with lots of low-end and high sparkle. Like the Brighton 20 and 45 this amplifier handles the power for home, studio and live gigs but excels at low volume levels.

The Brighton 14 combo is equipped with a Celestion G12M25 Greenback (alternative option : Celestion G12H30 Anniversary) speaker and accepts extension cabinets at 4, 8 and 16 Ω. Other speaker configurations are optional but remember, finding the right speaker has been executed with us for extensive periods already.
