BLACKPOOL 55 - COMBO

General description

The Meyer Blackpool 55 combo is a single channel, medium gain quality custom amplifier. In contrast to the Brighton series, the Blackpool facilitates a gain and master volume together with an active buffered effects loop on the rear side. The power amplifier uses a set of selected and matched KT77 (EL34/6CA7 optional) tubes and is powered by high quality transformer and GZ34 rectifier tube. The pre-amps section uses a combination of 5751 and ECC83/12AX7 tubes and a single ECC81/12AT7 tube.

Like the Blackpool 55 head this amplifier handles the power for home, studio and live performances. The Blackpool 55 combo is equipped with two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Celestion G12H Anniversary, G12H-75 Creamback or G12M-65 Creamback are optional. the amplifier accepts extension cabinets with 4, 8 and 16 ohm impedance.

The ultimate EL34/6CA7 replacement. The KT77 has been the most desirable tube in the world for quite a long time.
