BLACKPOOL 38 - COMBO

General description

The Meyer Blackpool 38 combo is a single channel, medium gain quality custom amplifier. In contrast to the Brighton series, the Blackpool facilitates a gain and master volume together with an active buffered effects loop on the rear side. The power amplifier uses a set of selected and matched 7591 tubes (6L6GC/5881 optional) and is powered by high quality transformer and 5U4GB rectifier tube. The pre-amps section uses a combination of 5751 and ECC83/12AX7 tubes and a single ECC81/12AT7 tube.

In guitar amps, the 7591 tone is similar to a good 6L6 type but with a much better midrange. Like a good 6V6GT with crisper high notes and cleaner bass.

Like the Blackpool 38 head this amplifier handles the power for home, studio and live performances. The Blackpool 38 combo is equipped with a Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and accepts extension cabinets at 4, 8 and 16 ohm. Other speakers and speaker combinations are optional.
